Paul McCartney just left everyone in tears at the March for Our Lives

- Maret 24, 2018

Paul McCartney, beloved musician and former member of The Beatles, threw his support behind the March for Our Lives today in an incredibly moving way.

McCartney was photographed with a sign promoting the historic event in Manhattan just steps away from the location where his friend and former Beatle John Lennon was assassinated by gunman Mark David Chapman in 1980, Deadline reports.

“One of my best friends was shot not far from where we are right now,” McCartney said. He was accompanied by his wife Nancy Shevell, and both wore shirts reading “We can end gun violence.”

Add your name to millions demanding Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH TRUMP & PENCE!

The March for Our Lives is happening all around the world as concerned citizens, spurred on by the bravery and activism of the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas school shooting survivors, take to the streets to command Congress and the president to finally take meaningful action to curb the epidemic of gun violence.

The images and videos rolling in from the March are enheartening. A strong and clear message is being sent to our government: take action, or be replaced. Trump and the Republican Party will no longer be able to take blood money from their NRA puppeteers without consequences. The world is paying attention now.

The younger generation isn’t complacent, they’re in the streets, and soon they’ll be in voting booths. Things are finally primed to change for the better in this country, and we must keep the momentum going.
