While speaking with a group of governors at the White House today, the President claimed that, if he was at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on the day of the shooting, he would have run into the building to prevent the gunman from carrying out the massacre.
“I really believe I’d run in there even if I didn’t have a weapon,” Trump said.

Pete Souza, former President Barack Obama’s photographer, trolled Trump with the perfect photo of his predecessor running, implying that our 71-year-old Commander-in-Chief would not be “running” anywhere, much less into an active mass shooting unarmed.
Trump’s delusional remark comes with the development that the schools armed sheriff’s deputy failed to enter the school as the shooting was occurring.
This, of course, is the same president who sought five deferments to dodge the Vietnam draft because of conveniently timed bone spurs which have since miraculously disappeared. If a 30-year-old Donald Trump was too much of a coward to fight in Vietnam, the chances that he, at 71-years-old, was going to run unarmed toward an AR-15 are about as likely as him having won an Olympic gold medal for snowboarding this week.
Not to outdo himself, he further assured the group of governors that the National Rifle Association is an ally in the fight for school safety.
“Don’t worry about the NRA,” he said. “They’re on our side.”
He’s correct, so long as “their side” is shilling for the gun lobby and putting corporate profits over the lives of American children.
Trump is many things, but athletic is certainly not one of them– and Souza let him know in epic fashion.
